Have you always loved interior design? What motivated you to start house renovations?
I have always been creative and enjoyed playing with ideas - I bought my first home at 22 and renovated that, but when I met my partner, he didn’t want to do any house renovations, so it stopped. Then we bought a big 4 bed home with a double garage and I needed inspo to decorate - so I used Instagram and Pinterest for that. That’s when I started my Instagram page. When I split with my partner, I knew I wanted to keep busy and I had been itching to do renovations, so it seemed like a great time to start - so off I went, having never done it before and it turned out I loved it and was really good at it!

Where do you find your interior inspiration and how did you learn the tricks of the trade?
I find it in so many ways, online (Pinterest, Insta), HomeSense, showrooms, show homes. Sometimes I'm stuck for ideas and I just have to wait for inspiration to strike. Like my bedroom re-design, that was all inspired from seeing some neon and I just created the idea of it from that!
I literally learnt how to do it as I went along. I asked the trades to show me things and picked up ideas from YouTube and other tips online. It’s amazing what you can find online to help!

Are you planning on redecorating any rooms in your house during this year / the UK lockdown?

I did most of my redecorating before the lockdown, as I was going to put my house on the market at the beginning of March - that never happened! I think I will concentrate on the garden during lockdown and make it as pretty as I can :) I think solar lights, pretty flowers, comfy spaces and chilled vibes. Think Ibiza in my garden vibes.

If you could pick one Peppermill product to spruce up your interior, what would you choose?
I am obsessed with 'Lily' Velvet Upholstered Bar Stools - they would look phenomenal in my kitchen. My stools don’t have backs, so this might be my next investment! They just look sooooo LUXE! So Chic!

What’s next? Do you have any new projects in the pipeline?

Yes, as soon as this virus comes to an end, I will sell this house and crack on with the next! My hope is my new house will look like a Peppermill Interiors show room!
