The perfect environment for our Old English bar stools, ‘The Barrow House’ restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey exhibits a great mix of traditional and contemporary style.

The restaurant prides itself on its beer, cocktails and ‘farm fare’. So, it’s no surprise that the bar is the establishment’s main focal point. Panelled wood lines the walls, floors and ceiling; and this, combined with traditional decorations, has created an almost ‘saloon’ style interior. 

Our ‘Old English’ stool seats are made from solid oak and sit on a distressed, cast iron frame. Practical yet comfortable, the stools have circular foot rests and are height-adjustable via a threaded mechanism.

A vintage appearance has been achieved by hand-distressing the seats and frames of the stools. They are heavy and substantially made, making them perfect for bars, restaurants, bistros, or kitchens.

As you can see from the photographs, they suit vintage and industrial spaces brilliantly. ‘The Barrow House’ has also demonstrated the height-adjustability of the stools. You can see below how they have varied their height for both high and low tables. This, combined with the use of other seating styles, has created a truly rustic, traditional look.
