THE ITALIAN JOB

In October, Peppermill Interiors Managing Director Scott, and three friends, will be squeezing into two vintage Minis (one 1998 and one 1971) and driving to Turin, Italy, to raise money for Buttle UK, the Children’s Charity (Registered Charity No, 313007 / Scotland - SCO37997).

The drive will begin in the West Midlands. They will drive via Dover to France, through Germany and Switzerland before arriving in Italy. In Imola, they will be joined by 50-100 other minis to act out a re-run of the 1969 film. Along the way, they will travel to various iconic destinations, including the Lamborghini Museum and the Dino Ferrari racing circuit, and finishing off in Turin with a trip around the Lingotto rooftop track, as featured in the original movie (photo from a previous run, below).

Buttle UK support children in need throughout the UK. £10 will provide a swimming lesson for a child who needs an escape from witnessing domestic abuse. Just £25 is enough to provide bedding whilst £150 will give a new bed to a child who previously didn't have one. As part of the trip, Scott, Brian, Ian, and Dom will also be taking gifts to donate to a children's home in Turin.
