The Peppermill team were great to work with, they provided information on items we wanted to specify for our project promptly and were friendly to communicate with throughout. The quality of the furniture is great, and we’re so pleased with how it all looks.
Bears like Paddington are very rare
Set in the heart of Paddington Station, now sits a very rare kind of café, for a very rare sort of bear. The first ever Paddington Bear Café, designed by Avocado Sweets Design Studio, features an array of colours and textures which create a cosy spot for travellers to relax and unwind.
Commissioned by The Copyrights Group, every element has been designed in accordance with Paddington’s main value: kindness. We are thrilled that Peppermill Interiors were invited to contribute to this new venture and showcase our furniture.
A very important name
This café has been carefully curated to exude a fun and playful atmosphere, reminiscent of its namesake. Painted wood panelling reflects the classic colours of the famous bear. The use of rich warming tones instantly transforms this café into an inviting haven for weary travellers.
Not forgetting Paddington’s Peruvian origins, the living green wall refers to the rainforests of ‘Darkest’ Peru. The lush green foliage complements the tonal chevron panelling, blending flawlessly from one natural element to another.
If you fancy making a feature wall in your café, restaurant or bar, be sure to check out our Copper, Brass & Zinc Wall Panelling.
Sweeter than marmalade
To the side of the entrance, the very friendly bear sits atop the Chelsea Stacking Bench, munching on his marmalade sandwich. Customers can join him for lunch and enjoy taking the weight off their feet as there’s plenty of room on the seat.
The exposed brickwork and industrial steel bench mimics a 1950’s style train station, transporting customers back in time.
A unique experience
A row of square pine tables, presented in parallel to the till point, display the carefully branded iconic Paddington logo. The industrial style square base offers stability, yet remains minimal in design, not to overpower the cafe’s aesthetic. These tables are part of our ever-growing range of customisable restaurant furniture.
This one-of-a-kind café is flooded with bespoke detailing. Here at Peppermill, we offer a wide range of unique and quirky accessories online and in-store that will add character to any space.
Bringing people closer together
Sit back in Peppermill Interiors’ Leather Café Chair whilst sipping your Fairtrade Peruvian single-origin coffee, and fully immerse yourself into the wonderful world of Paddington.
Our Espresso Brown Arlington chairs - accompanied by the Honey Tan Shoreditch chairs - display contrasting yellow and black steel frames to complement the industrial charm not only of the café, but also Paddington Station itself.
The bespoke colour combinations of these chairs sit beautifully within the café and embody Paddington’s sense of fun. These distressed leather chairs are hardwearing and can be easily stacked and stored, making them perfect for cafes, bars and restaurants.
We can adapt and adjust items to suit your specification - however bizarre it may be - just give us a call on 01543 375872 or pop into our Burntwood showroom.
